Michel Andrault and Pierre Parat are at work on this place and many other places as well (the Tolbiac center, the Totem tower, the housing complex Les Coudriers), creating a pyramid-shaped building composed of lawn, glass, metal, concrete.

The metal frame was designed by Jean Prouvé, who also designed the Palais de la Porte Dorée, the Boulle School, the Charonne Youth Center, the residence of the Japanese ambassador, the headquarters of the National Building Federation, and 55 Grenelle. It is supported by four 30m concrete pillars. This place is more commonly known as Bercy, which is one of its many names. It can hold up to 17,000 people with a surface area of +55,000 m².

The artist Orelsan in concert at the Accord Arena

The Palais Omnisport was inaugurated on February 3, 1984. After 30 years of existence to welcome the public, a contract was signed between the Paris City Council and the Accor hotel group for a renovation, closed until 2015 the palace reopened under the name AccordHotels Arena.

The world's leading hotel group has therefore received a huge publicity, owner of Mercure, Novotel, Formule 1, Ibis, Adagio, Sofitel, Pullman, etc...

I wrote this article about this place which marked me because I went there to attend the most beautiful concert of my life, that of the artist Orelsan
