Web 3.0 is a decentralized version of the internet that is based on the blockchain, a technology that cryptocurrencies are surrounded by. This version succeeds the previous web 1.0 and web 2.0 versions.
Web 3.0 provides privacy and security over our data through a digital identity.
The user can therefore control his or her personal data and participate in the future of the web.
This concept was created in 2014 by Gavin Wood, creator also of the cryptocurrency "Ethereum", which is now 2nd in the ranking after Bitcoin.

The decentralized web thus corresponds to the latest generation of internet applications and services that work with the distributed ledger technology of the blockchain.
This version of the web should also accommodate the Metaverse, a la the movie Ready Player One, giving us a 3D environment where we could access it through virtual reality headsets, people would have to interact with each other, with avatars, as if it were real life.
These avatars are called NFT, a digital object, to which is attached an identity with at least one owner. These NFTs are procurable only by cryptocurrency, so have a real cost.

The most famous NFTs are the Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC), these are monkey designs with different accoutrements that sell for several hundred thousand euros.
The particularity of these NFT, was that in their possession, it was possible for us to participate in events or secret parties on yachts.
So impossible to come with a counterfeit or a screenshot, because the person with the NFT, is registered in the blockchain and is the only holder in the world of it.
Big international stars have it, for example Stephen Curry, NBA player, or even Freeze Corleone, a French rapper known worldwide.

A future where the internet is even more the center of the world than before, an immersive virtual world using virtual reality headsets, a total decentralization of the internet.
