Vinland saga, a historical manga that has made its place among the greatest in a very short time.
Created in 2005 by the author Makoto Yukimura, his work was pre-published in Weekly Shônen Magazine.
This manga is different from the others because it does not contain any power, rather childish, but a real story transcribed into Japanese comics and then animated by WIT Studio on our screens.

The author has mixed historical events with a lot of fictional elements, Vinland saga tells the life of a young Icelandic man with a peaceful life with his family, his name, Thorfinn Karlsefni son of Thors, who historically is a real explorer around the year 1000.
He has a strong desire to explore after a village elder tells him the story of Vinland, a land of warmth and abundant soil that allows for the cultivation of vegetables never seen in Iceland, this old man's name is Leif, who represents Leif Erikson, an Icelandic explorer who actually discovered such a land 1000 years ago.

Our protagonist will see his peaceful life change overnight when his father Thors, the strongest of the warriors who has repented, will be executed by pirates who have been offered a handsome sum for it.
The captain of this pirate group is Askeladd, a powerful fighter and very cunning. Thirsty for revenge, Thorfinn will follow and join this band, with the sole purpose of fighting Askeladd in a fair duel and kill him to free himself from the hatred that haunts him.

Vinland Saga has already 25 volumes and its success has allowed it to make a collaboration which is not of the least, with the famous video game series Assassin's Creed, here Valhalla, which is a game where you play a Viking character.
As part of this collaboration, the author of the manga created a One-Shot, which is a story told in 1 chapter.
